Bishop Agapitos of Russian Church in Germany reposes

The Orthodox Christian community in the Munich area is mourning the loss of Bishop Agapitos of the Russian Church in Germany.
Bishop Agapitos reposed in the Lord last Thursday after suffering a heart attack.

The late Bishop Agapitos was born in Frankfurt in 1955. He studied architecture at Darmstadt University. He became a monk in 1979 at the Russian Monastery of St. Job in Munich, and was ordained a deacon in 1983, an elder in 1991 and a bishop in 2001.
