Bishop Bartholomew of Brisbane attends celebrations for Romanian National Day
Upon the invitation of the Honorary Consul of Romania in Queensland, Mr Ciprian Popescu, His Grace Bishop Bartholomew of Brisbane attended a function on the occasion of Romanian National Day.
Present at the function was Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM, Governor of Queensland, His Excellency Radu Gabriel Safta, Ambassador of Romania to Australia, community leaders of Romania in Queensland and the local Romanian Orthodox Priest in Brisbane.
His Grace conveyed the love and blessings of His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia and spoke about the beautiful relationship that exists between the Patriarchates of Constantinople and Romania.
On behalf of His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia, His Grace wished abundant blessings to the Romanian Community of Queensland and a blessed Christmas to all.
