Bishop of Budimlija-Niksic calls on faithful in Montenegro to peacefully resist unjust law

The Bishop of Budimlija-Niksic, His Grace Ioannicus, called on the faithful to resist what he called a serious injustice against the Church in the Adriatic country.

Speaking during a sermon at the Sts. Peter and Paul Cathedral in the Montenegro city of Bijelo Polje, and ahead of Christmas, based on the Julian calendar that is followed by the Serbian Patriarchate, the Church hierarch reiterated that the recently passed law is unfair and incompatible with international law.

He nevertheless reminded that the Church and its faithful will not engage in extreme acts, because the will of God stipulates justice and truth, and this will come very soon, as he said.
