The body of blessed Metropolitan Nikiforos of Kinshasa, arrived on the semi-autonomous monastic community of Mount Athos on Friday, and specifically at the Agia Anna area.
The beloved hierarch and devoted missionary reposed in the Lord on Tuesday in the northern Greece city of Thessaloniki, hours after he was airlifted there from Africa.
By decision of the Pope and Patriarch of Alexandria and All Africa, His Most Divine Beatitude Theodoros II, the Metropolitan of Kanaga, His Eminence Theodosios, was appointed as the locum tenens, or temporary vicar, of the Kinshasa Metropolis.
