Bulgarian Patriarch Neophyte Became Honorary Member of Slavic Literary and Art Academy
On Dec. 4, 2019, His Holiness the Bulgarian Patriarch Neophyte became an honorary member of the Slavic Literary and Art Academy. The award ceremony took place during the presentation of the international anthology «Hleb nash nashushtnii» (which in English would be translated – Our daily bread), which included poems by famous Bulgarian and foreign writers and poets about the word, God and morality.
Elka Nyagolova, President of the Slavic Literary and Art Academy, congratulated Patriarch Neophyte wishing him many years to lead the Bulgarian Orthodox Church and to be a spiritual an example for our country. She also emphasized the fact that the Union of Bulgarian Writers and the Union of Bulgarian Journalists participated with great enthusiasm in the preparation of the book.
His Holiness congratulated all writers and creators of the word, encouraging them to work actively at the intellectual level. The event continued with the presentation of the book.
