Byzantine choir Tropos at historic Monastery of St. John the Forerunner at Bigorski

The Byzantine choir Tropos, following an invitation and with the blessing of His Grace Bishop Parthenios, the Abbot of the Holy Monastery of St. John the Forerunner, arrived at the Archdiocese of Ohrid’s historic monastery at Bigorski.

The choristers, under the direction of Konstantinos Angelidis, sang hymns during a con-celebratory Vespers on Sunday afternoon at the monastery’s catholicon, the main cathedral, on the occasion of the patronal name day of Bishop Parthenios, as based on the Julian calendar.

His Grace Parthenios officiated at the festal service, which was co-officiated by the Ecumenical Patriarchate’s Metropolitan of Imvros and Tenedos, His Eminence Kyrillos.
