Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia Ilia I extends best birthday wishes to Patriarch of Moscow & All Russia Kirill, calls for restoration of peace

A letter addressed to the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia, His Holiness Kirill, on the occasion of his 76th birthday on Sunday, the Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, His Holiness and Beatitude Ilia II, extended a plea towards the former to minister in favor of the immediate restoration of peace between Russia and Ukraine.
In his letter, the Primate of the Georgian Orthodox Church, among others, underlined that: “… we wish, also, that justice and peace between Russia and Ukraine, and between our countries, be restored as soon as possible, through your and common efforts. May the Lord bless you and your flock.”

The Patriarch of the Russian Church on Sunday officiated at the Divine Liturgy at the Cathedral of the Savior in Moscow, where he received best wishes from the clergy and faithful.
