Church today commemorates Timothy the Apostle of the 70, Righteous Martyr Anastasius of Persia
The Church today venerates the memory of Timothy the Apostle of the 70, as well as the Righteous Martyr Anastasius of Persia.
Over several years, the Archbishop of Tirana and All Albania, His Beatitude Anastasios, has also celebrated his name day on this date.
His Beatitude spoke to the Orthodoxia news agency late last year in an interview, where he recounts the very difficult mission he undertook in Albania in the 1990s, when the country emerged from the isolation of nearly four decades of extremely harsh communist rule.
In the interview, which is posted on the Orthodoxia news agency’s webpages, Anastasios reminded that «all miracles are the work of God».
