Collaboration of the Theological School of Halki with the Theological School of the Church of Cyprus
Last Tuesday, 13 June 2023, during the course of the works of the Conference on the contribution of the Theological School of Halki to interorthodox relations, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the Theological School of Halki and the Theological School of the Church of Cyprus.
The desire for cooperation between the two Theological Schools was expressed during the visit of His Beatitude Archbishop Georgios of Cyprus to Halki, last March, in the context of his peaceful visit to the Venerable Centre of Orthodoxy.
The Memorandum of Cooperation, which provides for the cooperation of the two foundations in many fields of activity and the joint development of actions and activities, was signed, on behalf of the Halki School, by Elder Metropolitan Apostolos of Derkoi, President of the Ephorate of the Halki School, and on the part of the Church of Cyprus, by Archimandrite Fr. Gregory Ioannidis, Professor, representing the Director, Protopresbyter Kyprianos Kountouris.
