Communiqué of the Ecumenical Patriarchate
The Holy and Sacred Synod, during its July sessions, among other matters, discussed current topics of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America, and after its recent 46th Clergy-Laity Congress, unanimously approved the lifting of the suspension of the Charter of the Archdiocese requested by the Holy Eparchial Synod and reinstated it in force, continuing the ongoing review process of the charter, and soon the composition of the Joint Committee formed for this purpose will be announced.
