Concert, charity event by Metropolis of Kydonia & Apokoronis in Chania, Crete

An event dedicated to the Ecumenical Patriarch of Constantinople, His All Holiness Bartholomew I, was held this week in the courtyard of the St. Maria Magdalena Cathedral, in the Halepa district of Chania, a city in western Crete.

The event, complete with a musical concert, was held on the occasion of the new ecclesiastical year, which began on Sept. 1, and an annual environmental awareness day – commemorated by the Metropolis of Kydonia and Apokoronis.

A vesper service and blessing, presided by First Secretary Archimandrite Damaskinos Lionakis, preceded the musical and charity event.
