His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia expressed condolences to Patriarch Irenaeus of Serbia upon the demise of Bishop Milutin of Valjevo.

Your Holiness, Dear Brother and Concelebrant in the Lord,

On behalf of the Russian Orthodox Church, I extend profound condolences to you and to the Holy Synod of the Serbian Orthodox Church upon the demise of His Grace Milutin, Bishop of Valjevo.

The deceased archpastor encountered the hour of trial so difficult for the people together with his flock, helping those who suffer, praying and celebrating the Sacraments of the Divine Eucharist. He has fallen victim to the fatal epidemic fulfilling his duty to the end.

May the All-Merciful Lord give rest to the soul of His faithful servant in the mansions of the righteous and make his memory eternal.
