Covid-19 restrictions in Greece eased as of May 1
Greece’s relevant health minister on Wednesday announced that as of May 1, and until August 31, the display of a Covid-19 vaccination or previous infection certificate will not require presentation in the country in order to enter public indoor areas. The measure will be re-examined on September 1.
However, the use of face masks remains mandatory for indoor areas until May 31.
In a related development, Greece’s president of the republic, Katerina Sakellaropoulou, has tested positive for COVID-19, according to an announcement on Wednesday.
The Greek president has only mild symptoms and is in isolation in her residence.
