Deputy Greek FM meets with US ambassador to the country

Deputy Foreign Minister Costas Vlasis on Monday met with the US ambassador to the country, Geoffrey Pyatt, with talks revolving around issues of Orthodoxy and faith.
In a tweet on his social media account, the US envoy noted that he congratulated the deputy minister on his new role, including work with the “…vitally important Greek American Diaspora and the critical role of Mount Athos in Greek society, its significance to religious freedom, tolerance and its unbreakable connection to the Ecumenical Patriarch”.
