Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Konstantinos Vlasis met with the Exarch of the Holy Sepulchre, Archimandrite Damianos

On April 6, 2020, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Konstantinos Vlasis met, in his office, with the Exarch of the Holy Sepulchre, Archimandrite Damianos, to discuss the procedure for transporting the Holy Light from Jerusalem to Greece. Due to the pandemic, and to safeguard public health, the procedure will differ from the practice of previous years.

They also discussed the Patriarchate’s function and initiatives. The Deputy Minister expressed the Greek government’s support for the Jerusalem Patriarchate and Patriarch Theophilos, underscoring their decisive importance in promoting Greek Orthodox tradition in the Middle East.
