The Divine Liturgy was also celebrated in the Greek sign language on Thursday by the Metropolis of Halkida, in south-central Greece, on the occasion of the Feast Day of Righteous Mark the Deaf.

The Metropolis’ director of ministerial services, Archimandrite Ioannis Karamouzis, completed the theological translation of the Divine Liturgy in Greek sign language, the latest initiative by the Metropolitan of Halkida, His Eminence Chrysostomos, to develop the Church’s pastoral activity among the faithful with hearing impairment.
