During the celebration of Ecclesiastical New year, His Grace Bishop Silvester celebrated Holy liturgy at St. Catherine women’s monastery Kiyindi – Holy Metropolis of Kampala

On Sunday, September 1, 2019, during the celebration of Ecclesiastical New year, His Grace Bishop Silvester celebrated Holy liturgy at St. Catherine women’s monastery Kiyindi – Holy Metropolis of Kampala. The Bishop thanked sister Thavoria the Abess of the Women’s Monastery for amazing work done at the center and all the mostly looking after the needy children in the area. After, the faithful welcomed back monk Paraskevianos from Greece where he had gone for studies and as well tonsured a monk at St. Paraskevi Monastery in Megara – Greece in 2018 and he will serve as a Monk at the St. Paraskevi Monastery in Busaana – Buikwe District. We continue to glorify the name of our Lord and pray for the Orthodox mission in Uganda.
