Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew receives chanters of Constantinople at annual reception
His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, on Sunday received a large group of chanters in the Bosporus metropolis, before hosting an annual reception in their honour at the Patriarchal dining hall.
In an address in made in the Throne Room, His All-Holiness reminded that the Church cultivates various forms of art, of which ecclesiastical music and psaltic tradition hold a particularly eminent position.
In a related development to the Mother Church of Constantinople, His All-Holiness on Sunday also paid a pastoral to the Sunday school of the Georgian-speaking community of the Bosporus metropolis on the occasion of a celebratory event for the new year.
