Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew with Russian-speaking community – “Care for all spiritual children”
On Saturday, 9 August 2025, His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew presided at the Divine Liturgy held at the Metochion of the Holy Monastery of Saint Panteleimon of Mount Athos in Galata, Constantinople, marking the feast of Saint Panteleimon the Healer according to the Julian calendar. The Divine Liturgy was celebrated by Grand Archimandrite Iakovos and attended by a large congregation of Russian-speaking faithful.
In his address, His All-Holiness expressed his deep joy at celebrating the feast together with the Russian-speaking community of Constantinople, reaffirming the enduring care of the Mother Church for all her spiritual children. He extended his warm thanks to the custodian, Fr. Nikolaos, for his gracious welcome, and asked him to convey his Patriarchal greetings and best wishes to the Abbot of the Athonite Monastery of Saint Panteleimon, Archimandrite Eulogios, on the occasion of its feast.

Earlier, Fr. Nikolaos welcomed His All-Holiness with heartfelt words, expressing sincere gratitude on behalf of the Abbot and the faithful for accepting the invitation to preside over the day’s celebration.
Following the Divine Liturgy, His All-Holiness blessed the festal meal prepared by the fathers of the Metochion.
