Ecumenical Patriarch of Constantinople Bartholomew declared honorary lecturer of Georgia’s State University of Sukhumi

The Ecumenical Patriarch of Constantinople, His All Holiness Bartholomew I, was declared an honorary lecturer of Georgia’s State University of Sukhumi, during a ceremony held on Wednesday at the Throne Room of the Patriarchal residence.
The honor was bestowed by the rector of the university, Prof. Zurab Khonelidze, who referred to the ministry and the overall contributions of the Primate of the Mother Church to humanity. The academic also referred to the very close spiritual relations of the Ecumenical Throne with the Orthodox Church and the people of Georgia.
