An exact replica of the miracle-working icon of the Panagia Paramythia, known also as the Vatopedi Mother of Consolation, or Comfort, was received by Church of Crete hierarchs and monks at the Metropolis of Kisamos, in western Crete, over the weekend.

The icon was welcomed by numerous worshipers and clerics, who accompanied a procession to the Chrysopigi Monastery, where the icon will forever be displayed for veneration by the faithful.
