Exact replica of Holy Icon of the Panaghia Paramythia conveyed to historic Monastery of Rousanou

An archieratical Divine Liturgy before the Holy Icon of the Panaghia Paramythia was held today at the main cathedral of the historic Monastery of Rousanou, one of the impressive monasteries built on the Meteora rock formations in the country’s Thessaly province.
The Divine Liturgy was officiated by the Metropolitan of StagON and Meteora, His Eminence Theoclitos, and co-officiated by the Elder Archimandrite Ephraim, the Abbot of the Holy and Great Monastery of Vatopedi.

On Monday, the faithful flocked to the monastery to greet the arrival of the exact replica of the Icon of the Panaghia Paramythia, which was conveyed from Mount Athos by the Elder Ephraim and Vatopedi fathers.
