Georgian woman with her prayer and love cures the diseases of family and nation, – Father Daniel, Metropolitan of Chiatura and Sachkhere, made this statement during the ceremony of blessing of Iveria Virgin Mary Icon Cathedral at Makhata Mountain.

Father Daniel spoke about the important role of women and mothers in the spiritual as well as secular life of Georgia.

His Holiness and Beatitude Ilia II Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia has blessed Iveria Virgin Maria Icon Cathedral at Makhata Mountain in Tbilisi today. The construction of the cathedral launched in 2002.
