Feast day of Athanasios and Cyril, Patriarchs of Alexandria
The Church today venerates the memory of Athanasios and Cyril, both Patriarchs of Alexandria, in the fourth and fifth centuries, respectively.
These two saints were pre-eminent Christian theologians, Church Fathers and resolute defenders of Trinitarianism against Arianism.
