Feast day of Evdokimos the Newly-Revealed commemorated at Holy & Great Monastery of Vatopedi

The Evdokimos the Newly-Revealed is commemorated today with centuries-old Athonite rite at the Holy and Great Monastery of Vatopedi, on Mount Athos, as based on the Julian calendar.

The Saint’s Holy Relics were placed at the center of the Catholicon, the main cathedral of the monastery, on the eve of the feast day by the visiting Metropolitan of Kinshasa, His Eminence Theodosios, who was accompanied by the Elder Archimandrite Ephraim, the Abbot of the venerable monastery, Vatopedi Elders, other Athonite Fathers, priests, hieromonks and deacons.

Church bells rang out joyously after the afternoon dinner hall assembly, marking the commencement of the con-celebratory Vigil, while the Great Archieratical Vesper was officiated by Metropolitan Theodosios.
