Feast day of Our Holy Father Nicholas Planas

The Church today venerates the memory of Our Holy Father Nicholas PlanAS of Naxos, an early 20th century saint. Today is also the feast day of Hesychios the Martyr.
A very solemn Vesper service, due to the three-day mourning period in Greece, was held on Wednesday, the Eve of the saint’s feast day, on his native Naxos — officiated by the resident Metropolitan, His Eminence Kallinikos, and co-officiated by numerous clerics of the large Cyclades Island.
