The Church today venerates the memory of Gregory the Righteous of Decapolis, in Asia Minor.
St. Gregory’s journeys took him to many cities in the Eastern Roman Empire, where after many labors in defense of Orthodoxy against Iconoclasm, he reposed in peace in the first half of the 9th century.
