Feast day of St. Nektarios of Aegina the Wonderworker, Bishop of Pentapolis

The Church today venerates the memory of Nektarios the Wonderworker, Bishop of Pentapolis.
The online television platform Pemptousia today continued to live-stream the solemn services on the occasion of the feast day of St. Nektarios, from the Saronic island of Aegina, and specifically from the Monastery of the Holy Trinity.

A Great Festal Vespers was live-streamed on Monday, followed by today’s early morning Orthros service, an Archieratical Divine Liturgy and a litany procession of the saint’s Holy Relics and icon.

The Metropolitan of Paronaxia, His Eminence Kallinikos, officiated at the Orthros service, co-officiated by the Metropolitan of Hydra, Spetses and Aegina, His Eminence Ephraim – the Primate of the local Metropolis – and the Bishop of Androussis, His Grace Constantios

The Great Festal Vespers and the Archieratical Divine Liturgy will also be posted on the on-demand content available on the Pemptousia site.

On the occasion of the feast day of St. Nektarios of Aegina, Pemptousia today will also post several features and programs, including an address by the Metropolitan of Veria, His Eminence Pantleleimon, on the saint’s life, trials and works.

In another segment, Archimandrite Nikodimos Aerakis speaks on the life of the saint, followed by Archimandrite Barnabas Lambropoulos, who broaches the topic of “St. Nektarios as Father and Teacher of the Church”.
