Feast day of Stylianos, the Monk of Paphlagonia, protector of orphans

The Church today venerates the memory of Stylianos, the Monk of Paphlagonia, in western Asia Minor.
St. Stylianos lived in the latter 6th century and early 7th century. This saint is invoked for help to children who are ill and to childless couples, and is also venerated as a protector of orphans.
