Feature posted this week on historic Monastery of the Panaghia Arethiotissa, the ‘Lady of the Marshes’

The pages of the Orthodoxia news agency this week host a feature and photographs of the historic and picturesque Monastery of the Panaghia Arethiotissa, known as the “Lady of the Marshes”, in the western Greece prefecture of Aetoloakarnania.
The Catholicos, or main cathedral of the centuries-old monastery, is dedicated to the Nativity of Our Most Holy Lady, the Theotokos and Ever-Virgin Mary.

A museum also operates within the premises of the venerable monastery.
