First online Archontariki with the Metropolitan of Aetolia & Acarnania on Thur.

The online platform Pemptousia will host the first online Archontariki with the Metropolitan of Aetolia and Acarnania, His Eminence Kosmas, on Thursday, beginning at 19.30 Athens time.

Archontariki in Greek means a monastery’s guest house.

On Wednesday, the online Archontariki from Mount Athos with the Elder Archimandrite Ephraim, the Abbot of the Holy and Great Monastery of Vatopedi, was viewed by numerous Greek-speaking faithful.

The Elder Ephraim’s address touched n the Great and Holy Lent, which begins on Monday. A question and answer session followed, with several participants requesting spiritual guidance from the Elder. Repentance, prayer, fasting and asceticism in the life of the faithful were the concepts that dominated the session, as the online synaxis – or assembly – continued for more than two hours.
