GO Fellowship Melbourne: Talk given by His Grace Bishop Prodromos of Toliara and South Madagascar
On Thursday, 9 March 2023, the GO Fellowship Melbourne initiative its first talk for the year, having invited His Grace Bishop Prodromos of Toliara and South Madagascar, of the Patriarchate of Alexandria, to come and speak.
The talk was hosted at the Holy Church of the Entrance of Our Lady, in the Melbourne suburb of North Balwyn, while also present for the talk were His Eminence Metropolitan Ezekiel of Dervis, His Grace Bishop Kyriakos of Sozopolis, Archiepiscopal Vicar of Melbourne, and Parish Priest, Father Nicholas Georgiou.
His Grace Bishop Prodromos expressed first and foremost, his thanks to His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia, for his blessing to speak at the event, as well as for His love and hospitality in Australia.
Then, he described the difficulties faced by the Orthodox Church in Madagascar, but also how it manages with faith in Christ and with the grace of God to continue its mission.
In conclusion, Bishop Prodromos emphasised to those present that Christ asks us to live with simplicity and to pray with sincerity in the heart.
