Government, Patriarchate and Foundation “Iveria” sign memo on construction of modern scientific-research and cultural-educational center-museum

The Government, the Patriarchate and the Foundation “Iveria” signed a joint memorandum at the Patriarchate on Wednesday. As InterPressNews was informed by the Government’s Administration, the Memorandum aims to provide a framework for cooperation between the sides on the construction and development of the scientific-research and cultural-educational center-museum of modern and high international standards nearby Iveria Virgin Mary’s Cathedral on Makhata mountain.

The government will provide protection and care of the ecclesiastical treasure located in the museum.

The construction of Iveria St. Virgin Mary’s Cathedral Completion is completed. As the Governmental Administration informs, construction of the scientific-research and cultural-educational center-museum is the next stage of construction of Virgin Mary’s Complex, which will be implemented jointly by the government, church and society of Georgia.
