Greek Dep. FM receives Archbishop Sotirios of Canada

Greek Deputy Foreign Minister Andreas Katsaniotis on Monday received His Eminence Archbishop Sotirios of Canada at his office.

During the meeting, the deputy minister was briefed on the important pastoral and social work performed by the Archdiocese of Canada, while special mention was made of the strong presence of Greek expatriates in the North American country.

Katsaniotis later received the Alexandria Patriarchate’s Metropolitan of Zambia, His Eminence Ioannis. The hierarch, according to reports, conveyed a request by the ethnic Greek community in the southern Africa country regarding an easier renewal of their passports.
