The Autocephalous Orthodox Church of Greece on Tuesday celebrated the feast day of the Apostle of the Nations Paul, the founder of the Church of Greece.
The Archbishop of Athens and All Greece Ieronymos in the afternoon officiated at a festal Vespers service at the Areopagus, off the western side of the Acropolis, in commemoration of the eponymous sermon delivered by St. Paul the Apostle to the Athenians in the first century.

Still in Athens, and a day later on Wednesday morning, Archbishop Ieronymos was received by Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis at the Maximos Mansion government house, with talks focusing on issues affecting Church-state relations, especially a recently unveiled draft bill that includes provisions regarding four secondary ecclesiastical academies in the country.
Moreover, the Greek prime minister requested the assistance of the Archbishop and the Orthodox Church in persuading people in the country to get vaccinated for the Covid-19 virus.
