His Grace Bishop Neofitos Kong’ai – Message of condolences on the passing of Professor Zakayo Njuge.

«FARE THEE WELL OUR BELOVED BROTHER IN THE LORD OF OUR MAKARIOS III SEMINARY- NAIROBI

On behalf of the Orthodox Diocese of Nyeri & Mt. Kenya, we send our sincere condolence to family, relatives, church, friends and the entire MAKARIOS III SEMINARY FRATERNITY.
I worked with the late Philosophy and History Lecturer Mr. Zakayo Njunge at the seminary from 2008-2014 and he was the most peaceful, kind, loving, articulate and humorous lecturer who loved his job of teaching. Always smart, very clean and in most cases dressed in a suit and a tie. Very punctual while discharging his duties.

“One thing that I know is that, I know nothing” was his famous Socratic quote when asked to solve a technical problem and he got his way! May this fundamental and paradoxical Socratic quote follow you up there! Yes, You don’t need to know much before God because he knows you already. Just tell Him, you know nothing!! We will miss you, You were a great friend.

“We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, so that as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life” (Rom 6:4).

REST IN PEACE DEAR BROTHER!»
