Holy Synod of Ecumenical Patriarchate to consider election of new Metropolitan of Italy

The Sacred and Holy Synod of the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople also met today under the chairmanship of the Ecumenical Patriarch, His All Holiness Bartholomew I, to consider the election of a new Metropolitan of Italy and Melitis, nearly four months after the repose in the Lord of Metropolitan Gennadios.
