The painting of Saint Paphnutius (Pârvu) the Iconographer can be seen in the Negustori Church in Bucharest, dedicated to Saint Nicholas.

The place of worship located on Teodor Ştefănescu Street no. 5 was the place where Father Dumitru Stăniloae served in the last 10 years of his life. The fresco of St. Paphnutius was covered with a new painting, which belonged to another great Romanian artist, Gheorghe Tattarescu, in the 19th century and was brought to light following the restoration works in 2016.

Saint Paphnutius was also called Pârvu Mutu (the Mute) due to the harsh canons he used to follow when painting, namely not to speak until he finished work.

In the narthex of the church, we find a small painting exhibition of contemporary artists who come to pray here.
