Int’l Hellenic University unveils post-grad program entitled ‘Religious and Pilgrimage Tourism’
The dean of the school of economics and management at the Thesslaoniki-based International Hellenic University, Evangelos Christou, referred to the need to train professionals active in Greece’s religious tourism and pilgrimages sector.
Prof. Christou said that despite the continual growth of this specific type of tourism in Greece, a shortage of trained staff and professionals persists.
The International Hellenic University is Greece’s first public tertiary institution offering studies and degrees in English.
The school recently unveiled a post-graduate program entitled “Religious and Pilgrimage Tourism”, in cooperation with the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
