Massachusetts philanthropists John and Effie Lagadinos have donated 5,000 dollars to each and every Greek Orthodox parish in the New England area, a donation amounting to a total of $300,000 in order to help them get by during the coronavirus pandemic, which closed the doors of their naves.

According to the National Herald expatriate newspaper, Lagadinos, the Greek-American founder and president of the Pulse Systems, has been helping parishes in the Boston area for many years, especially St. John the Baptist. He is also a great benefactor of the monastic community of Mount Athos.
