Martha Giahnaki passes away, aged 71

Martha Giahnaki, the mother of journalist Maria Giahnaki, the general director of the St. Maximos the Greek Institute, passed away in Irakleio, Crete this week at the age of 71, following a lengthy illness.
An exodios funeral service was held on Tuesday at the Holy Cathedral of St. Nektarios, in the Irakleio township of Kallithea, officiated by the Archbishop of Crete, His Eminence Evgenios. Interment followed at the Kallithea cemetery.
