Matronal feast day of Entrance of the Theotokos into the Temple reverently celebrated in Hania
Monday’s great matronal feast day of the Entrance of the Theotokos into the Temple was reverently celebrated by the Church of Crete’s Metropolis of Kydonia, as the Theotokos, the All-Holy Virgin Mary, is the patroness and protector of the Cretan port city of Hania, the capital of the Metropolis.
The Metropolitan of Kissamos & Selinos, His Eminence Amphilochios, officiated at a con-celebratory Archieratical Vesper, co-officiated by the resident Metropolitan, His Eminence Damaskinos, on the eve of the feast day.
A day later, the Archbishop of Crete, His Eminence Evgenios, officiated at the archieratical services on Monday, the great feast day.
