Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk greets His Beatitude Patriarch Theophilos III with the anniversary of his primatial ministry

Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk, chairman of the Moscow Patriarchate’s Department for External Church Relations, greeted His Beatitude Theophilos III, Patriarch of the Holy City of Jerusalem and All Palestine, with the anniversary of his enthronement. The text is given below.

Your Beatitude:

Please accept my heartfelt greeting with the anniversary of Your enthronement as Patriarch of the Mother of all Churches, the Most Holy Church of Jerusalem, from where the Good News have spread all over the universe through the labours of the apostles and their successors.

You zealously fulfill Your Primatial ministry and edify members of Your flock, calling them “to contend to the faith that was once for all entrusted to the saints” (Jude 1:3). Your offer up zealous prayers for peace in the whole world and for the wellbeing of the holy Churches of God together with hundreds of thousands of pilgrims who are coming to Jerusalem.

On the anniversary of Your enthronement please accept my wishes of physical and spiritual strength, prosperity and the inexhaustible God’s aid in Your noble Patriarchal ministry.
