Metropolitan of Argolida Nektarios officiates at Great Vespers on eve of commemoration of the Dormition of St. Anna

The Metropolitan of Argolida, His Eminence Nektarios, on Sunday officiated at the Great Vespers on the eve of today’s commemoration of the Dormition of St. Anna, at a dedicated cathedral in the mountainous village of Platani.
His Eminence also conveyed a relic of the True Cross, which was displayed for veneration by the faithful and as a blessing for the local parish.

A festal reception followed in the cathedral’s courtyard, with sweets and pastries baked by local residents, and a musical event performed by members of the cultural society “St. Anna”.
