Metropolitan of Chios Markos officiates at adult baptism

The Metropolitan of Chios, Psara and Oinousses, His Eminence Markos, this week officiated at the sacrament of baptism of an adult into the Orthodox faith. The baptism of the new faithful of the Orthodox Church, who was raised a Methodist, took place at the early Christian Basilica of St. Isidoros, on the eastern Aegean Island of Chios.
The baptismal name given to the newest Orthodox Christian faithful is Ioannis-Isidoros, Ioannis being Greek for John.
