Metropolitan of Lagada: Some quarters want the marginalization of the Church

An interview given to the Orthodoxia news agency by the Metropolitan of Lagada, His Eminence Ioannis, was well-received this week. The Metropolis of Lagada, Litis and Rentiniis located in northern Greece.

His Eminence warned that there is an effort underway in some quarters to marginalize the Church.

He also referred to the issu of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church’s autocephaly, stressing that, regardless of what politicians say and want, the Church must follow the Mother Church on the Ukraine issue.

Finally, Metropolitan Ioannis called for respect of history, when asked about the recently ratified and implemented Prespa agreement.
