In the interview, via Skype, His Eminence bemoaned the fact that the Church of Greece has been targeted for criticism by some quarters, in the wake of decisions by the Holy Synod to reduce exposure to the coronavirus.

Chrysostomos said the Church understood the threat to public health from the very first moment, complying with the state’s guidelines to protect society.
