Metropolitan of Volokolamsk Anthony concludes visit to Patriarchate of Antioch

The Metropolitan of Volokolamsk, His Eminence Anthony, on Monday concluded an official visit to the Patriarchate of Antioch and All the East.
His Eminence, the head of the Russian Orthodox Church’s Department of External Relations, arrived in Damascus, Syria on Friday with the blessing of the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia, His Holiness Kirill.

On Monday, the Russian hierarch visited the city of Zahle, in eastern Lebanon, where an Orthodox cathedral is being built based on a Russian architectural style, an initiative spearheaded by Archbishop Nifon of Philippopolis, the representative of the Patriarchate of Antioch to the Patriarchate of Moscow and All Russia.
