Metropolitanate of Montenegro & Littoral sharply condemns latest attack by country’s president against Church

The Serbian Orthodox Church’s Metropolitanate of Montenegro and the Littoral this week issued a stern announcement condemning the latest insolent and intolerant claims by the country’s president, Milo Đukanović, against the Church.
The Church underlined that “…Mr. Đukanović’s views are soaked in communist methods reminiscent of another era, which he refuses to abandon, while his recent statements during a television program, where he claimed clerics participated in 1990s war crimes, is the peak of his lies. He claims something without evidence, something that insults the moral standing of our clergy.”
