Michael Kratsios assumes acting US Under Secretary of Defense for Research & Engineering

The Trump administration this week announced that Greek-American Michael Kratsios, a South Carolina native, will serve as the acting US Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering.
Kratsios, whose family roots are from the eastern Aegean island of Chios and the northern city of Kastoria, has often referred to his Orthodox faith, as well as on how scientific and technological achievement allows man to better understand God’s creation.
